Hi. Posting here as I am not sure this is a bug or my ignorance (very likely). Apologies if I’m in the wrong place.
Everything worked until new architecture versions (2021.XXX ok). As far as I understand my system should be with minimum requirements.
2022.XXX vesrions load but very low fps and timecode display not visible. Would very much appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.
Is there any reason you are staying on such an old version of the operating system? Your machine is quite new, so it can certainly upgrade. New versions of the OS are how Apple provides driver update, so it’s the main way to get software using newer graphics features to function.
Thx for your reply.
I have a number of reasons not to update the OS. It is my main work/research system and I have several apps/externals that are not available for more recent OSs.
My question was about the system requirements. Do you mean that in practice I should not expect my system to be compatible with the 2022.XXXXX versions?
Our hands are quite tied when it comes to GPU issue like this, since the majority of the fixes will come directly with new versions of the OS. The 2023 series of builds won’t support 10.14 at all. Unfortunately if it’s not running, then it seems like your particular configuration won’t work. Sorry.
Totally understand the limits on your side but if basic functionality is not possible I think it might make sense not to list 10.14 as minimum required OS.
Otherwise thx for your work and reply here.
Well the issue is that it does work on some GPUs for 10.14, just not that one it seems.
Sure. I get it. Just a bit frustrated with the OS chasing rat race. Thx again.
