Is there anyway of telling if the DeckLink Quad HDMI recorder is actually connected to an input?
If you make a VideoDeviceIn node active with no HDMI source connected it will give a ‘Warning: Starting Capture…’ (The VideoDeviceIn is set to Blackmagic)
Connecting a source will remove the warning, and a INFO chop will report connected, frame rates, capture rates etc.
Removing the source at this stage, ie unplugging the HDMI cable, and nothing changes. It’s still reporting that’s it’s connected, and still capturing frames etc. I can not see any channel in the INFO chop change in any way.
What I would like is to report to the user that there is no incoming signal, but the only way of doing that is to restart the VideoDeviceIn Node, which will then report ‘Warning…’ etc
