I’m possibly just restating what you said @dylanroscover in more naïve terms, but the Z axis metrics are an essentially meaningless readout in a Z aligned view. There’d be a reasonable argument to be made that there could be view-alignment tolerance towards the axis at which point the labels go away.
For your more isometrically oriented screenshot, I think that scaling the text even slightly with distance would do a lot to clean up the visual noise, but I can understand that this would probably be a fiddly thing.
I suppose a question is: does this become a display parameter that the user can tweak or can it be globally defined with the understanding that someone, someplace will eventually complain about it.
Thanks for the great feedback. We’re actually working on a totally different style for those scale markers which should address those issues and works more dynamically like the grid.
It just missed the cutoff for the last update, but we’ll hopefully have a little more information soon.
