3d camera/render TOP ugliness

Hi,

Still fairly green on the 3d side and am trying to work out why my geometry looks fine until I render it with a camera and light. I’ve attached a .tox to demonstrate. There’s a lot of ugly aliasing and moving lines going on with a very basic spinning geo and stationary light. Can anyone enlighten me on why this is and if there’s a way to fix?

thanks.

What you are seeing is issues with depth buffer precision. The range between your near and far planes is huge: 10000 → 725,498,000. If you tighten this up, even just going down to 72,549,800, the artifacts go away.
