Noticed in Windows 10 that if you tried to duplicate a monitor in Windows screen resolution settings, in a 3 monitor setup, that it would crash TouchDesigner without an error, and then you wouldn’t be able to open TouchDesigner until you turned off the screen duplication.
Hi Elburz,
how is win10 for you in general? I am thinking to try it on my secondary machine bumping up from win7. I usually skip each second version of Windows and wait for service pack 1, at least, but win10 is being aggressively pushed so I’m going to dive in - especially since this particular machine is due for an OS re-install anyway.
Rod.
Some of our colleagues are using it in-house and say it’s doing ok, but then we found that bug I mentioned above. I JUST upgraded one of my laptops to 10 for testing. At the end of the day I’m still worried about not being able to turn off Aero when push comes to shove, but I need something to run Kinect 2 off of.
I have it running on a laptop that isn’t a show machine -just a development machine. I’m mostly pretty happy with it so far. There are some strange tearing issues that happen in network, thought I don’t usually see them persist into performance windows. So far I haven’t seen anything that’s deal-breaking on my end.
