[60230] - stoner makes big toe

The stoner and also base ops defined as Project in stoner make toe files become heavy.
The attachted toe has only one stoner and two base ops and is over 7MB…
stoner.toe (7.16 MB)

Part of what’s happening here is the locked image files in base1 and base2 are saved in your toe file. Those by themselves account for 5 MB - just the stoner container only makes a file about 2.4 MB in size - the stoner container saved as a tox also comes in at 2.4 MB.

Locked operators, will store their data in the tox or toe file they’re saved inside of. Rather than locking you image files, you could instead save them out, and then load them at start.

Thanks raganmd for the clarification.
I know where the MB’s are coming from.
Just wanted to say, that the stoner op is not yet convenient to use.
Itself is cpu hungry, so that you have to use the base op workaround for multiple warpings.
But then you get jagged edges and big ass toes…

I wouldn’t consider this a bug - rather a current limitation.
A lighter version which will decrease the file size is in the works but I don’t yet have a solution for the edges.
You can try the AntiAlias TOP though and see - depending on your content - if that improves your result.

cheers

Hi Markus,

you’re absolutely right. I shouldn’t have posted it here.
I find putting a little blur on the edges sometimes helps with the aliasing.

Best wishes,
