Abelton version not showing in tdAbeltonPackage parameters

I have been trying to connect my ToucDesigner (2025.32820) to my Abelton 12, but when following the instructions, I can’t get pass the Abobe Live Install part in the tdAbeltonPackage parameters. It only says ‘custom’ in the drop down and will not show my version. I have tried the following already:

  • Making sure Abelton Live is closed
  • Creating a folder ‘Remote Scripts’ in User Library in Abelton then copy and pasting the TouchDesigner foler from tdabelton (did not work so I deleted it).

Any help is appreciated!

What OS are you on?

Did you do a standard Ableton install or did you put it in a custom location?

Windows 10 and yes, it is indeed in a custom location. Should I reinstall Abelton to the default location?

The custom install makes it so TD can’t find the locations automatically. So, you can install to default location or you can also point Preferences Folder and MIDI Remote Script Folder parameters to those places in your Live installation by hand.
