Hey everyone,
Here is Alpha 6.2. There are some fixes and changes to POP features, and the Examples including Overview.toe continue to evolve. Have a look through the release notes for 6.2 and any prior builds you may have missed.
The download is on the release notes page here: Learning About POPs
We remind you again to please fill in your Alpha Feedback form – as you have committed for your early access (thanks if you have done so already). The feedback contributes a lot to our understanding of what your experience has been, what you have attempted and explored, and missing parts and trouble spots that we need to consider.
And…
You may have heard our announcement that POPs will go from Alpha to Experimental in the next two weeks! We are finally happy to say that everyone will have access to POPs. This is exciting for us – we have had the luxury of a long development process for POPs, giving us enough time for our designs and implementations to settle down, while we try to crystal-ball the roles that TouchDesigner will play in building the art, tools and user interfaces in the future. We know there are numerous missing pieces but this foundation will continue evolve in the Experimental phase and beyond.
So thank you so much for your input so far – we frequently say to ourselves that we are lucky to have such a knowledgeable and generous user community working with us.
Thanks,
The entire Derivative team
