Hi everyone, I’d like you to meet AML, a fully featured operator family designed for macOS.

For a long time it felt strange to me, how on Windows we have exclusive Nvidia operators, but on macOS we aren’t using any of the great features that are already build into its APIs and frameworks.

With AML you can use Apple’s build in pose tracking, masking features, image classification and a whole lot more. These features often run on Apple’s Neural Engine, which is hardware designed specifically to run AI/ML workloads.

Additionally I have build a collection of operators around CoreML, Apple’s own optimized framework for running AI models. These give you depth estimation, YOLO, segmentation, Stable Diffusion, 3D mesh generation, etc.

The operator family comes with a Model Manager that lets you directly download compatible models, as well as a convenient package installer.

Please check out the blog post and demo video for more

For the moment AML will be freely available for download, so do check it out!

Hi! I’m trying AML on macOS and I’m running into an issue with the Model Manager. When I try to download the Stable Diffusion XL base model, it doesn’t install and the State column shows: expected str, bytes or os.PathLike object, not tuple.

The models folder is set to /Users/xaceom/Library/Application Support/TDAppleML/models, and the manager still shows 0 models installed.

I’m using TouchDesigner 2025.33070. Is this a known issue, or is there something I should change in the setup?

Hi xaceom,

That model had some extra files that my parser didn’t know what to do with. In the early stages I was using a bash script instead of the model manager, that’s how this one slipped in.

On the Patreon page you’ll find 0.9.21, it should be fixed now.
