Analysing a .dmp file and finding reason of crash

Hi,

I have a very large and rather complex patch that runs without problems for around 4-6 hours without problems and then Touchdesigner freezes and generates a .dmp file. There seems no memory leak occuring and I was wondering if I could get some advice on how to analyse those .dmp files. Would be a very useful skill :wink:

The patch needs to run in a permanent installation so it runs for 9 hours straight, then the computer restarts. Weirdly enough some days the computer makes it through the day and others it crashes after 4 hours.

It’s not possible for you to usefully analyze .dmp files. Those are for us to look at, as it allows us to see the line of code the crash is occurring on. If you send them to support@derivative.ca, we’ll be happy to help you.
