Analyzing the alpha data of a video

I would like to analyze the amount of black and white (alpha) within a video, the amount of alpha should change continuously being a video but instead stop at 1, someone could help me?

what kind of video is it and how do you analyze it?

I wood like to use my camera as an input for the analysis. The rgb works and the data changes when I move, but the alpha stay stopped at 1 and didn’t count the changes.
