Animation COMP editor's add channels vs. pattern expansion


Using the Animation COMP for the first time in a project with the intent to sequence a series of RGBW light fixtures. I would like to have all the DMX channel names use the following nomenclature: 1R, 1G, 1B, 1W, 2R, 2G, 2B, 2W. 3R etc…

I was expecting that using the following pattern expansion [123456][RGBW] and the Add Channels button in the Animation COMP editor would yield 24 values with the same format as above but I end up with 123456R, 123456G, 123456B, 123456W instead. Is this indeed the intended result or a bug?

I then thought of adding the channels I need programmatically but the Animation COMP class appears to provide methods for adding and deleting keyframes but not channels.

[1-6][RGBW] did the trick :slight_smile:
