Hi,
I’m running a system that plays background music continuously for over a day using an Audio File In CHOP.
Occasionally, the sound stops playing correctly — it becomes silent.
I haven’t identified a clear trigger for when this happens.
When this issue occurs, the following behaviors are observed:
-
Copying the affected Audio File In CHOP, or reloading the same
.wavfile, immediately restores normal playback. -
In the Info CHOP referencing the problematic Audio File In, I can see that the
sampleandfractionvalues stop updating each frame.
In the video below, two Audio File In CHOPs are captured:
-
audiofilein1 → the one that stopped outputting sound correctly
-
audiofilein2 → a direct copy of audiofilein1, which plays normally
Here are the parameters I’m using for the Audio File In:

Has anyone experienced similar behavior or found an effective workaround to prevent this issue?

Thanks!
