resurrecting this old post… I have the exact same problem using a audioFileOut CHOP. In perform mode it records to the file path the user can create with a combination of a fieldFolderBrowser and a Field DAT.
When opened in touchplayer, no file is created. I’m on Mac (Sonoma 14.7) both TD and Touchplayer have been granted access to Desktop and Documents folders in the Privacy & security preferences. Even granting TouchPlayer full disk access doesn’t help. Please find an excample attachted. Any insights would be most welcome!
Hi Marcus, thank you for your investigation! last week I was in preparation for a show, running on the same hardware on which I had this issue, so I didn’t want to alter anything of my setup. I will try and update to the latest versions and will get back to you with the results.
Hi again, I’ve tested the .toe I attached in my initial post in the latest official release (2023.12000) for Apple Silicon. The same behaviour still occurs. The AudioFile out CHOP creates a file in the chosen folder perfectly in TD, but when I open the exact same project in TouchPlayer, no file is generated. Both TD and TouchPlayer have folder access on the Desktop folder enabled.
I checked my permissions and they are very similar to what you have. If you download and install TouchPlayer.app again renamed to TouchPlayer.test.app, do you still get the same issue? If you load this .toe (it is the same as what you have except I’m displaying any errors on the File Out CHOP), what error does it give you?
