Hello everyone!
I was wondering if there’s a way to map irregular placed LED strips automatically based on a live camera feed like those christmas tree LED strips that you automatically map with the app on the phone.
Basically the camera should be pointed at where the strips are placed, and a specific pattern should be sent to the strips so that TD through the camera can be able to reconstruct the shape of the LED strips.
once that is done, it could output a spline that corresponds to the strips placement.
Is something like that possible?

Yes, certainly doable.
if you have only one camera position, the LED‘s position can be only be calculated with respect to the cameras 2D view.

It’s ok for me to start with 2D, 3D can be developed after.
What i have almost no clue of is the process behind it
