I just tried this “Beat Dialog” and discovered that it’s completely broken. Practically and by design. Tap tempo just on full bars is just not right because the process is too slow and not precise. Aside from that, it’s not possible to tap in the right value. I always end up way faster and I’ve been tapping tempo for 20 years now. It also seems like it heavily depends on the general load TD has to handle. In an empty project, I end up with more BPM.
Please fix that behaviour and also change the tap interval to beats to make it work like all the other implementations in the world.
I’m on version 2025.32280 on MacOS.
