Beginner question about the end results of TD

I have played around in TD with a few projects but now wonder, can you create a stand alone program in TD with a user interface that plays your visuals to music, something like whitecap?

Or would you create the network and application and deliver as a touchdesigner file? So the user would need to download touchdeisgner and open the file to use the application?

Your assesment is correct. TD-Projects can not be compiled to standalone executeables.
Users need TD-Instaled AND(!) a license!
