best HAP converter

Any suggestions for the best method of converting video to HAP (or HAP Q) in Win 7?

Maybe just using Touch is best?

I’ve been having the best results converting in Quicktime Pro 7, but you’ll need to install the windowsHap plugin for quicktime. I have the msi laying around, i’m not sure how available it is yet.

I did a couple on my PC and quite a few on my mac using quicktime pro 7 and they were all good. Adobe media converter, as always, seems to have issues with the alpha version of the codec, though I got normal HAP out of it ok, on my mac.

Its annoying that you still have to pay 20 bucks for QT7Pro, but it still seems to be about the best way to convert things to non h264 quicktime movies.

Haven’t tried the hap output in touch yet.

hi,

umm, can you share the location of the HAP codec installer for windows? would love to try it out…

thanks!

Hi,

I’m interested as well, couldn’t find a hap quicktime codec for windows.
Conversion works using touch though.

Cheers

yeah, it works that way, using the movie output dialog to render them as HAPQ. They play back fine in TD, but all I get in Quicktime on mac OSX with the codec installed is a black frame. Anyone else?
