Best Practices for Controlling Large-Scale LED Arrays (1800 LEDs) in TouchDesigner with WLED

Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a project to control LED strips using TouchDesigner. So far, I’ve successfully set up and controlled 1800 LEDs via WLED. However, I encountered a limitation when trying to control the LEDs through DMX Out using Art-Net in TouchDesigner, as it caps at 512 channels, allowing control of only up to 170 LEDs per universe.

For larger-scale LED installations, what methods or workflows do you use to efficiently control such arrays in TouchDesigner? I’d love to hear your insights or recommendations for tackling this challenge.

Take a look at the DMXout CHOP snippets. There are examples in there that show how to do this.
