This has been an intermittent issue for years on and off. some months / years it’s worse than others and that may very well be due to the nature of the toe file I’m working on, not sure.
Recently it’s been happening a lot when I right click and open parameters for my parent comp from the network nav bar:
It also can happen with the op create dialogue (launched from double clicking bg):
I’ve even seen it happen with the little dialogue that pops up when dragging/dropping to reference/export parameters to other parameters.
That said, floating panels opened by shift+v do not ever seem to create issues. Maybe coincidence.
This issue is strange because I can relaunch said window a number of times in quick succession and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
Depending on the window, and the instance of this issue it can be really hard to recreate or happens so often I have to restart Touch just to keep working.
Here’s a gif of it happening with parent param window:
What’s hilarious is if I go up a level, then right click on the comp called “outliner” and open viewer from that network level it works every time.
EDIT:
I was going to post a gif of it happening with the op create dialogue, which was exhibiting strange behavior where it would go black every OTHER time I launched it, but I seem to have cleared the bug accidentally by going up a level.
Anyways like I said, intermittent, hard to share, and recreate. I can go hours with out issue but something triggers it, sometimes it can be untriggered. Restarting Touch always fixes.
