Blending 3d obj´s with no smoothness

Hi,

I´m just trying to blend 3 different obj´s using sequence blend SOP. The problem is that it´s not smooth when it passes from one index to another. In fact, its smooth only when passes from 2 to 0.

I matched the number of points of each obj using a polyreduce but the problem remains… ¿any clue?

Sorry … What I was trying to say is that at the begining of the blending, the image change gradually from one obj to theother but at the end there is always a jump (when it passes form 0.9 to 1, and from 1.9 to two…). Is the same jump that you get when you try to blend two pointclouds with diferent resolution. Thats why I´ve tried to match the number of points with polyreduce…

Hi @Tapani_kurokawa,

one difficulty is if connectivity is different between the points. For example you can try that with just 4 points which are connected in different order to create a polygon. It’s impossible to blend that smoothly with the Sequence Blend SOP.

I understand but there is something that seems strange to me… when the sequence Blend SOP goes from 2 to 0 works fine. I´m sending a video about it.

Anyway, ¿Can you recomend me a solution to find a good transition between the wireframed sops?

unfortunately I don’t have a solution for this.

Could it be that during the 2->0 blend, the change just happens very quickly? It’s hard to tell from your video.
