Bone animation

Hello everyone.
I wonder if, using the bone comp as explained here: derivative.ca/wiki088/index … =Bone_COMP I could be able to export animations along the geometry.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Bye, Ivano.

Am I asking too much?

Don’t I deserve an answer?

Sorry I couldn’t respond earlier, it was the weekend!

Yes, these tools are for building simple bone systems that then can be animated. However, these tools are basic and there is no built in export of both geometry and animation together like in an .fbx file or something.

However, TouchDesigner does support .fbx file imports where you can import geometry with animations and materials from other 3D software. Most modelers and animators would find it easier and more productive to use their modeling tools of choice and then just import that into TouchDesigner via FBX. TouchDesigner’s development over the years has not been focused on making a cutting edge modeler as there are already tools that do that very well these days.
