I feel like I spoke with @snaut about this at one point a while ago, but I don’t know if I ever posted about it. I have a behemoth of a project I’ve been iterating on for some time, and every once in a great while, the Bookmarks Layout bar stops working. When this happens, clicking on any of the bookmarks has no result, and I’m not sure how to reproduce, but it doesn’t fix itself on reload; in fact, only migrating everything to a new project entirely fixes this behavior and restores functionality.
I know a UI overhaul is in motion, and it may be that this system gets update or replaced, but in the meantime, I’d be curious as to what causes this, or how it might be otherwise fixable, as it’s a pain to recreate all of the links, particularly when a layout uses a bunch of different panes for each bookmark
Ideally, you wouldn’t have to migrate things to a new project to fix things. And ideally again, we’d get this fixed if we have an example where it’s broken / if we can reproduce reliably.
Yes, but it would be a project in a private git repo with lots of externalities. Since the bookmarks get borked moving forward, I can empty the project and make some new bases to test, and if they are still broken I can share that as an example, or if you can give me the email of whomever might actually get eyes on it, I can add them to the repo
Seems like deleting everything out of my project has bookmarks working again, so a simple example won’t replicate the issue. I can share a file if it’s something anyone has the bandwidth to look at, but since I’ve got a working version and can’t easily replicate, it’s not so much of an issue
