BPM Detection
Hi Wieland, I just went through the BPM detection tutorial, some nice ideas in there. One being to use the Speed CHOP to measure time between triggers (which then leads directly to BPM). And using Analyze CHOP’s average to smooth out variances. And using the Hold CHOP to just do the detection while you have a button down. As I’m sure you know the technique relies on having a consistent trigger, any part of the music with extra sounds will give unwanted pulses and the BPM goes up unintentionally. And you have to be constantly monitoring your min/max levels of this filtered sound. But it’s not bad what you get with some basic CHOPs.
