Bug? Resolution problems when using Feedback

Hi,
I’m having the problem that if I create a TOP feedback loop, I often get wrong resolutions at the output and inside the loop. Also, if the input resolution changes, the feedback loop does not update. Even if I disconnect and reconnect the feedback node, it doesn’t update, I seem to have to literally create a ‘new’ feedback TOP. Any thoughts?
cheers!

I actually didn’t encounter this issue anymore, could you post your network?
what version are you using?

The feedback gets confused due to it’s… well feedback.

The best way to avoid this is to change the feedback rez locally inside the the feedback node itself. I usually have a slider or button or Field component that does this for all nodes in the feedback loop (and the feedback input) just to avoid any confusion.

hope that helps.

Yep, I might have messed up back then. At the moment I’m having a somewhat similar problem though:
Sometimes my feedback loops get stuck when I go into peformance mode and back to editing mode. Quite strange… anybody else having this?

I have been seeing this problem lately:

Maybe an odd bug with the feedback top. But when I wire a top in with a certain resolution. And then I change that res, the feedback top does not update its own res. I basically have to go to the common page and flip the res to another value then flip it back to use input and it updates the feedback top

Can confirm it happens in 2021.16410 and 2022.26590

Windows 10 i-7, rtx 2070 driver v516.94

You can just click the ‘Reset’ button on the Feedback TOP and it will grab the current resolution connected to the input. It’s a behavior of feedback in a way, and although it can be annoying to work with at times we don’t currently have it classified as a bug or RFE to address.
