Hey everybody,
i have my first larger Project coming up and irun into some problems concerning distance.
As seen in the screenshot i have 2 cams and 2 screens (everything in 1280*720).
what would be the best solution to transmit the red signals back and forth over a distance of approx 50 to 100 meter since usb and regular hdmi dont cover these long distances.
Any help is welcome
Thanks in advance
Leo
All is dependant of your lag acceptance
β easiest way with around 5 frames of delay is to use NDI. You can find easely boxes to do NDI to HDMI and HDMI to NDI and a good cat6 RJ45 can easely transport 720p for 100m
β You can use SDI with cheap blackmagic boxes, easely hundred meters but limited to βvideoβ format (include 720p), around 3 frames of delay
β You can use HDbaseT with also 3 frames of delay and some beamers (mainly Epson, Panasonic, Christie) can input HDbaseT directly.
β no delay is quite impossible, each connexion (camera to cable, cable to computer, computer to cable, cable to beamer will introduce some delay.
The best is to borrow or rent the material and test it in real conditions. There is so much parameters in the game!
