Im really new to touchdesigner/visual effect softwares and i’ve got a few questions for a project im trying to achieve with TD.
In this project i want to create an effect on a subject that is dancing with constant manipulations of particle effects and background contrasts that has their parameters controlled via live data from a PH and Temperature sensors. I want the subject to go in and out of the particle effects. Should i be using point cloud to achieve the particle effects? i am trying to apply point cloud to control a mov file that consist of a rotobrushed video file that has no background. i know that this is possible with pictures and mp4 files by converting file into texture (Movie file in) if i am not mistaken. Is this possible? I have tried a similar method to achieve the effects i want by using the particlesgpu, it works but i could not get the details of the subject even with maximum amount of birth and had to resort to layering the particle with the video file for detail.
For more context, im trying to get a similar effect as exsstas on youtube in his video called “Dance in the point cloud”.
