Can I trigger video in TD using MIDI from Reaper channels, like TDAbleton

I’m looking for a way to route MIDI output from individual tracks in Reaper to TouchDesigner for triggering video. Is there a straightforward way to do this, similar to how TDAbleton works?

I am developing a video playback system in TouchDesigner, but since audio-reactive triggering is often unreliable, I would like to transition to using MIDI signals instead.
