Can't modify parameter through Export CHOP

Hello everyone!

I am doing this exam project in which I’m trying to modify a video through the data sent by an ultrsound sensor. I’m using Arduino for this. Everything is fine in the IDE and Serial DAT and Convert DAT seem fine as well (numbers are changing depending on how close I’m standing to the sensor).

However, once I try to export the chop resulting from all this data the parameter of a TOP I’m trying to modify turns green but doesn’t actually give any visual change (the number stays constant).

It stays at 0.765, meanwhile the number next to null4 keeps changing. I tried everything I could think of but with no result.

Any help?

Not sure what’s going on here. But have you tried to reference it via python instead of chop export?

Can you post a simplified .toe file?

Just Drag and drop the value from the chop (while it‘s viewer is active) on the parameter you want to control. Then, don’t choose export chop but the reference option. References & Binding Parameters – TouchDesigner Curriculum
