Can't open ply file

Hi I’m new to TD. Running Build 2025.33070

Trying to do a pointcloud experiment and starting off on the wrong foot it seems

When I assign the path for a Point File In TOP to my .ply file (a scan from Polycam), I get the same error message back: “failed to open file: failed to open PLY file. Unsupported property type. (project1/pointfilein1)”

I’m fairly confident it’s not a formatting mistake, but rather something structural. I tried ruling out an error with TD’s binary PLY decoder with an ASCII PLY and same error.

Any tips on best next step?

this bug will be fixed in the next upcoming release:

In the meantime, could you save out the file as a different format?
