Can't select/click/drag/delete operator in network

Hi,

This has happened to me twice in the last week both times with the OSC in CHOP where I add it to the network configure its parameters and do some other stuff elsewhere in the network and when I come back to it in order to move it/delete it/copy it etc. it never gets the focus and I can no longer interact with it via the mouse/keyboard.

When in this state it is still cooking and updating its values but I can no longer modify it through the network interface.

So far this has only happened when using the OSC in CHOP.

This is on build 2022.29530 (commercial) under Windows 10.

Thanks,

Hey @tohox

Thanks for the report,

What if you hit “P” to close / open the parameter dialog ?

Can you please try to update to 2022.29850 and see if you encounter the issue still ?

Thanks,
Michel

Hi Michel,

Yes the network and all other OPs remain perfectly functional. It is only the OSC in CHOP with which I can’t interact when this happens.

If i save the TOE while TD is in this state, close TD and reopen the same file again I can then interact with the OSC in CHOP but it displays a warning regarding using the old export map format. I’m not sure if this is actually related to the problem though.

I’ll try updating later tonight and let you know if it changes anything.

Thanks

Thanks for the details.

There is maybe something to investigate in that direction. I will get back to you after discussing the issue internally.

Best,
Michel

@tohox

Does it happen at all in a new .toe file?

What happens when if that occurs and you turn off the “power” at the top of the UI ? can you then interact with the OP at all ?

Thanks,
Michel

I haven’t been able to reproduce the problem since saving/quitting/opening… I’ve started again from scratch in hopes that I can make it happen again. Will let you know.

Btw, I couldn’t get rid of the warning message “Warning: using old export map format. Please include path column.” until I realized the Export Table parameter in the OSC in CHOP was pointing to another OSC in DAT elsewhere on the net. I probably did this without realizing when I was clicking/dragging like crazy to interact with the CHOP…
