I had a client report the project was displaying dropped pixels. Restarting the project itself cleared them but they came back after 15-20 mins. Rebooting the PC fixed it. The project is using an RTX 5000 card. The project has a main LED wall and 2 touch screens. The issue is happening on both in really bright spots best we can tell. The first image with some debugging overlay elements also has a camera feed that is used for taking a picture of someones ring as they press against a sensor pad. It too is showing the pixels issue. they are not single pixels but little strips of pixels. It the GPU going bad? Some issue within TD? Anyone experience something like this before?
The way to test would be to have a way to force the full output to go white once it enters this state. Also capture a screenshot of the desktop using PrintScreen, and see if the issues show up in that.
Most likely the issue is related to the LED pixels or the processors, but it’s possibly the GPU.
that last image is from a touch screen normal panel, not LED wall. But I will try the full screen white.
Can you give information about how the content is created and composited? Is this just video playback? Is it going through any chain of TOP operations to change then content?
it is a mix. tops and comps. Most of my projects are positioned comps over a main background.
If you go into the project when it’s in that state, do you see the errors on the TOP viewers? If so, try tracing backwards until to see where they appear first.
yeah I am waiting for it to happen again. This all happened without me and I was just sent screen shots so didn’t have a chance to investigate it myself.
