`collapseSelected` to return newly created BaseCOMP

Currently it returns None. It would be consistent with similar operations if it returned a reference to the new BaseCOMP.

calling newCOMP = ui.panes.current.owner.currentChild immediately after is a workaround for now in some cases, but might not be fore others when the collapse is not happening “in sight” etc.
