Colour Mask difference top

Hi everyone.

I am a student and starting to get the grips of TouchDesigner. I am using the particle generator to create some cool effects that are manipulated by movement picked up by a camera connected to the difference top. The problem I have is that I want to project the particles generated onto a surface that will be seen by the camera - which will create a feedback loop on the difference top and therefore ruin the movement effects on the particle GPU. Is there a way to tell the Difference top to not pick up certain colors? I.E if I made all the particles generated Red and the difference top had been programmed to not pick this up, the feedback issue would be resolved and the project could work? rather long winded explanation! any help or useful tips would be greatly appreciated! xx

Hi @inigotownsend,

what is the Difference TOP comparing the camera image to? You would want some default image to compare against.

This is all a bit tricky…

In general masks can be generated using the RGB Key or Chroma Key TOP.
