When dealing with COMPs, what is the difference between a Component viewer and opening the controlpanel for a component?
I initially thought they would be the same for COMPs, but they behave a little different: A:
RMB on project1 and choose “open control panel … native size”
Then maximize the window
The picture is in the lower left corner
B:
RMB on project1 and choose “viewer”
Then maximize the window
The open control panel … native size option forces the contents to remain at their specified resolution regardless of the window size. It’s similar to using “Native Resolution” in TOPs, pixels are never scaled.
If you open the controlpanel without using one of the sub-options by just selecting Open Control Panel…, then you will find it behaves the same as choosing viewer from the right-click menu. This is the default way to open a controlpanel, it will scale to fit the window size. It behaves the same as the Open Component Viewer option in the pane bar and the same as using controlpanel -o command without any extra options.
