Connect TD with GrandMA1

Hello family!

I have to connect TD with GrandMA1 Light board and control 10x sharpy lights and few strobe lights… i never done this before, i always control them directly from TD to light with enttec DMX controller.

I have to make a 3 min animations for 2 moment every night but its 4 hour event so all the night thats lights will be controlled by GrandMA1 board…

My question is:

Do i need to have anything weird or extra to send my dmx channel in order to control lights?? its possible to do that?? :confused:

I have to control 9 universe of leds digital stripe, but thats under control :wink:

Hey Javo,

If you are just triggering movements on the GrandMA you might be best to use a Midi output from touch and send notes to the GrandMA.

Otherwise the easiest option might be just to send Artnet to grandMA then you don’t need any adapter boxes, just Cat5.

If going with Artnet make sure you have a seperate network card for it. It runs on either 2.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 or 10.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 subnets on the grandMA.

The point is, i will control also 20 art-net universe for led stripe + few moving light that goes through grandMA1, so i will try the cat5 option, seems the best for me.
