Hi to all!
I was trying to replicate this simple but nice effect by Alva Noto. The video is a bit blurred, but I hope it is understandable:
youtube.com/watch?v=zarAIxxrh4M
It is a kind of distorded tube that rotates on his axis and produces a moiré effect with horizontal wires that start from its columns. The columns are larger than the wires.
I experimented a couple of ways to replicate some of this, but since there are things that I’ve still not understood I’m quite puzzled.
I basically tried with a tube, with a noise effect, but I need that the bars stays of the same size.
And I tried another way with Add and Copy SOPS, but I don’t know how to modify the length of the lines and their inclinations and at the end there’s an empty surface in the structure.
mmm… Anyway anyone know a tutorial on Group Sop? Because a lot of transformation that I need require me to modify only some elements of the geometry…
Thank you so much,
Paolo
