As I’m (overly) fond of pointing out. In most cases, this scenario would be better served by driving a nested independent timeline that is attached to a subcomponent of your root project.
It is a very well designed solution, thank you. My main purpose is “watch timeline” for live show.
How can i connect your solution with my timeline chop?
If I understand correctly you want to add a timeline chop inside the COMP with component time. in the demo project provided that would be inside the ‘project1’ COMP.
If you need to adjust the timeline properties of the nested component:
Double Click on the COMP or press ‘I’ while it’s selected to go into it.
Once inside, you will notice that it has a second mini-timeline at the bottom of the network editor. Clicking on the little ‘S’ will “Scope” the timeline UI at the bottom of the TD interface to that timeline.
You can usually tell when this has been done because the color of the main Timeline UI will change (amber in this case but it varies). If you want to make adjustments to the ranges fps and so on, you can do it using the normal interface block there.
