copy path from a pane to another

I have wished for this for many many years and very very often!!!

and maybe I’m just missing how to do it some other way, just as simply.

Usually I work with say 4 panes open.

On one pane, I navigate to a place, sometimes deep into my networks.

I start working in it, and usually I end up wanting another of the (say) 3 remaining panes to also go to the same location (so that for example from that new pane I can work in a parallel or subcomponent while keeping the original pane in the same location).

There’s no way I can think of doing this that’s not annoying. For now, I just navigate ALL THE WAY to the same location from another pane.

Instead, it would be very user friendly if I could right click on the pane’s path bar, select “copy path”, then right click on the other pane and select “paste path” - easy! now ,my other pane is in the same location, and it tooks 3 secs.

thanks!

That copy/paste would be simpler,
but for now you have 2 choices:

A.
Link both panes to the same ‘link number’ (Its the small digit to the right of the pane path that defaults to 0)
Set the both to 1, and the second one will pop to the first ones path.
Remember to unlink (set back to 0) afterwards.

B.
Double click on the empty space to the right of a pane.
It will switch to an editable field that you can cut+paste to any other pane
(after double clicking it to an editable field as well).

Hope that helps,
Rob.

actually choice B is GREAT!!!

no need for the RFE!

thanks!
