Copy to group & Copy Multiple Meshes?

Hi all!

I’m looking into Copy POP and I have two questions: Is Copy to group (keeping the same geometry but selecting a group within that) possible? I haven’t found an example on how to do that, but curious to know if it is at all possible. On that same line of thought, I am also curious to know if it’s possible to copy multiple different meshes to the same geometry/pattern by creating an attribute like a mesh ID, and matching it to something like a point ID or group attribute (similar to how it works in Houdini).

For now, my solution to both cases is creating a group and then delete the points outside that group and do two Copy POP’s. But I’m wondering if there’s another way.

Thanks

Hello,

Neither of those are currently supported and what you’re doing is currently the way indeed.
Groups support accross POPs is currently not quite complete but we’ll improve it.

Otherwise regarding copying different meshes to different points, that has come up a few times so we’ll aim to add a simpler way to do that as well.

Cheers,
Vincent

Hi Vincent, Thank you for confirming.
Have a good one,
