Crash attack: Touch has run out of cpu memory.

Hey ya’ll. I’m about a days out from a NYE show in Amsterdam Saturday. I’ve built our system from scratch and pieces found here and there. It has your usual clip launcher, generative synths, layers of mixers, effects, and different output pixel maps. Something happened for the first time today, a hard crash with about four error messages popping up in a row. The first saying Touch has run out of CPU memory, and the last saying DGBGHELP.dll not found. It’s happened a few times since then, and is making me nervous about stability for Saturday. Here is a dmp created in the crash. Any ideas? Could it be my clip launcher? It happened once when I was rapidly triggering clips off the ipad control.

Thanks for your input!

It might be a little late to let you know but I had some similar problems last summer. I was loading lots of movie clips and ran out of memory. Malcolm told me to use the unloadmovie command which ended up working. Basically every time you play a new clip some of it gets stored in ram, with the command you can clear the ram when the clip is no longer being played.

cheers
Keith

I ended up bypassing the problem by having my clip launcher in a totally separate instance of touch. Thanks for the tip though! WIll definitely try it in my next implementation.
