I’m not sure if this is something that can be fixed easily, but whenever I add a VST operator, save and close, I can’t open the project again. Several that I have work in the whole pipeline, from instancing to python to send MIDI notes. But when I save and try to open the project again I always get a crash that generates a CrashAutoSave. Is this normal? Windows 10, Driver Version: 516.5, Touchdesigner 2022.25370
Can you try saving with the Load Plugin State on Start toggle disabled and see if you still experience the crash?

Ok so that solves the problem. Does this affect my project in some way?
The plugin may not be loaded/restored exactly as it was at the time of the save to the toe file - for example: preset values and certain UI elements. Plugin parameter values are saved separately so they will still be properly loaded with the toggle disabled.
Setting the plugin state is unstable with some plugins which is why we added the toggle. For reference, which plugin are you using?
