Crash when loading any save file

Hi,

Just started using Touch Designer, and I’m getting some really odd behaviour from it:

  • Loading a save file from File > Open causes program to terminate immediately without error message
  • Loading a save file by double clicking on a .toe file in Windows shows message “Unexpected node duplication (/local) in file.” It then opens, however rather than the save file name it says “Files/DERIVA~1/TOUCHD~1/bin/TOUCHD~1.1.toe” after the save file’s directory in the title bar. And then trying to Save it results in a “No such file or directory”, clearly because the directory it thinks it’s in does not exist.

OS is Windows 7, Build 58620, though I have tried other builds and get same problems.

Not sure what other information I should give, let me know.

Many thanks.

I’m not sure about the crash from loading a file, but “Unexpected node duplication in a file” has come up before (relevant threads below). Did you install TouchDesigner as the administrator (rather than a user with adminstrator privileges)? Is it installed on the C drive? If not, can you uninstall and reinstall?
