Depth TOP not working on Intel Mac

The depth TOP is not working normally for me. It outputs many small, overlapping, white rectangles - almost looks like rectangles instanced on the geometry that I am rendering.

I always thought it was because I am doing something wrong with the setup but I just confirmed that it does work on the windows partition of my machine.

I am running on a Macbook Pro Late 2019 with Intel processor and dual-GPU (Intel&AMD).
When I switch to Windows 10 partition with bootcamp, Depth TOP works normally.

Hi @lion.toe

thanks for reporting this issue, can you share the TouchDesigner build you are using and OSX version?

cheers

I’m on 2025.32050 and Mac OS Tahoe 26.2

Hi @lion.toe,

unfortunately a MacBook Pro 2019 falls just outside our minimum system requirements for the 2025 mac builds. System Requirements - Derivative

I’ve seen a few reports lately about Intel Macs with AMD GPUs struggling with some of the newer TOP features. It’s super interesting that it works perfectly on your Bootcamp partition—that really points toward a driver or Metal implementation quirk on the macOS side rather than a hardware limitation.
