Display/Viewer Active Issue

hey I got this issue since the latest update, where the background display doesn’t follow the viewer status. If I have adaptive homing activated, somehow it follow the viewer status, but I got adaptive homing off (since I don’t want it for my project) but with the previous version I didn’t have any problem with it.
I’m still quite new to TD so maybe I’m missing something out?
Running on macOS

Thanks for the report. Normally the adaptive homing status shouldn’t affect a TOP viewer, but I’m guessing that the background viewer is somehow missing updates that would have otherwise been triggered by the homing system.

I’ve tried to recreate the problem on my system here, but I haven’t been able to yet. Would you be able to share your project where this is happening? If you don’t want to post it publicly, you can e-mail it to support@derivative.ca

Sure, here it is.

The issue applies to all my projects tho

Thanks for the file. I’m not seeing any updating issues on my Windows machine at the moment, so possibly it is related to the MacOS version. We’ll get someone to try that out this week.

Just to confirm, when you say the background display doesn’t follow the viewer status, do you mean that the background image is not displaying the same content as the node viewer? Is that when the file is just running, or is it when you are changing something in the viewer like the camera pos or grid settings? Does the background update occasionally or is it static?

Hey, the bg updates but it doesn’t adjust or follows exactly the node viewer camera position.
Like I cannot have any other perspective than the basics - front, top etc.
Grid and other settings changes.
If it helps I can upload more photos
Thanks!

Thanks for the clarification. I can reproduce some of those issues with changing the settings that you are talking about. I’ve made a report here and we will look into them further.
