DMX Led strip basic setup

I need help setting up this DMX chop to send out the channels to my LED strip, Im new to this and just completed the hardware set up and all that’s left is to send the DMX signal to the led strip.

This is my set-up.

  1. MacBook connected to ENTTEC DMX USB PRO / DMX 512 / RDM to USB 2.0 INTERFACE.
  2. ENTTEC connected to 512 DMX decoder.
  3. R5 - 15 power supply connect to 512 DMX decoder and wall power supply.
  4. 512 DMX decoder connected to RGB Led strip.

my DMX chop I have no clue what to do with it, is there any examples out there that show me how to connect the LEDs?

For me, this video helped me understand how to get the rgb values and point numbers translated to a dmx signal in the proper format.

the only thing he does different is using art net.
what you can do different:
in the dmx out set the interface type and select the device
also use packet per channel
