Does video stream out work with Chrome broswer / html5?

Hello,

I want to make a web-app which can stream video from touchDesigner to a website, has anyone worked with this? I still haven’t purchased TouchDesigner as I’m afraid to buy it and afterwards see that it is not working properly. The reason why I am a bit skeptic is because I tried out this example posted on the forum:

Which works find, except the video streaming part, it says it only works with mozilla firefox, which would not work for me. This post is also 5 years old, so I was wondering if anyone has worked with this feature and if the implementation is straight forward and if it will work smoothly on chrome?
