Effects applied to point cloud are always stretched

Hi,

I’m very new to TouchDesigner, working on my first ‘proper’ project (as opposed to just following along with tutorials to learn). I am working with a point cloud that I created myself using Polycam. It imports and renders just fine on it’s own. The problem is, whenever I try to apply any effect (such a some noise, for example) the effect only happens in a “stretched” way - at a 45 degree angle between the x and z axes. I’m not sure how else to describe it, so I’ll add an image:

Without any element, project or file, its difficult to answer…
Are you sure you deactivate the “monochrom” option in the noise top?
Try first to reduce the noise amplitude and offset to zero, it should not change the original point cloud.
Then try to slowly add some amplitude and look what appears.

Oh my goodness, I still had my noise set to monochrome :woman_facepalming: it’s always something silly like that! Thanks for your help.
