Im getting that error and tried solving it by manualy moving the TDAbleton Sample folder to the MIDI Remote Scripts folder as i have seen in many videos, i install succesfully and update the Ableton Comps but the Touchdesigner MIDI controller wont appear on the IN list.
I´ve tried doing it on Administrator mode but everytime i close and open TD it shows the same error
I have the latest version of TD, Ableton Live 12 Suite 12.4.3 and a Windows Intel i5
Im new to TD so idk whats wrong and ive tried many things but i always come back to the same error
Looks like it’s being confused by your custom Live setup. Is that important? If you install everything in a standard way, this should all work. Definitely run Live once to set up all default folders before trying to install TDAbleton
If you can’t do a standard setup, you can deal with the error here by manually entering all the correct folder locations on the tdAbletonPackage Utility parameter page. I can’t help with finding the correct locations because I don’t know what kind of custom install you have done.
I didnt do a custom Live setup and i thought of that when i first got the error, i have actually uninstalled and installed again both Live and TD TWICE with the latest updates to see if that changes anything but i keep getting the same error. I´ve manually copied the Touchdesiger folder (what i think its the right folder Programm files → Derivative → Touchdesigner → Samples → TDAbleton → Live 11+) into the MIDI remote scripts but i get the same bug everytime and still wont show TD as a MIDI in option in Live
