[Experimental] Drag'n'Dropping onto parameters bug

Dragging operators onto params either as a direct reference or expression sometimes doesn’t do anything. Had this happen many times and couldn’t find any consistency what would cause it.
Might have had this happen with dragging params onto params also, but not sure about that.

Caught in the act:

In the video I have a separate parameter pane, but also happens with in-pane parameter or floating parameter windows too.

trying to replicate this and wondering:

  • do you have a DPI scaling set?
  • is the window maximized when this is happening?
    Asking as in the video it looks like the mouse cursor is somehow offset from the what it is actually hovering over, evident by the + underneath the cursor that appears in an area it shouldn’t and then disappears when the mouse is acutally above the parameter

Okay, I realized what’s going on!

I have a tool that makes TD borderless fullscreen:
BorderlessWindow.tox (64.6 KB)

When Borderless State is on the offset seems to happen when interacting with drag-drop native TD UI elements.

ohh nice one - I like that look.
not sure this constitutes a bug though with that amount of customization. Will log it and see if there is something that can be done.

That’s fair!

Maybe this could turn into an RFE to support that look natively :wink:

And also a bugreport that TD doesn’t open in maximized, ever :frowning: There’s always a few pixels left
